Our first year of fungi farming has been one of the most difficult and rewarding years of our lives. Between juggling batches of grain spawn, inoculations of bulk substrate, harvesting mushrooms daily and making deliveries, the most challenging and exciting moments came from bringing our precious mushies to market!
We decided to make our foothold at the Cherry Creek Farmers market in downtown Denver and are very thankful for the opportunity there! We met so many great customers, vendors and characters to say the least! From our favorite regulars to the people on the fence about trying mushrooms, the Colorado Fresh markets were a great way for us to interact with people face to face and tell our story. We were lucky enough to sell out every week even in the pouring rain and meet some of the coolest vendors which have inspired us tremendously to keep our momentum going into years ahead!
Looking back on the 2019 season we are blessed for the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful market that gave us the chance to showcase our gourmet mushrooms for our first season in business. We will be forever grateful to the Cherry Creek Farmers Market staff, vendors and customers we met throughout the season and look forward for what is ahead of us!
